Hip stress fracture
A hip fracture is a fracture in the top of the femur (large upper leg bone). There are three places this happens as seen in the picture.
Most hip fractures are caused by accidents. A Hip stress fracture happens when muscles become fatigued and are unable to absorb added shock. Eventually, the fatigued muscle transfers the overload of stress to the bone causing a tiny crack called a stress fracture. |
