Tibia stress fractures

The Tibia is the larger of the two bones in the leg and the longest bone in the body. The tibia is the most fractured bone in the body but since it is so large there are not as many stress fractures.

Tibia stress fractures happen when muscles become fatigued and are unable to absorb added shock. Eventually, the fatigued muscle transfers the overload of stress to the bone causing a tiny crack called a stress fracture.
